Calm Body Calm Mind
Creating internal harmony begins with a regulated nervous system.
With a dysregulated nervous system you may find it common to wake up feeling tired. Perhaps you’re someone confused as to why you’re struggling with poor digestion, suffering from frequent headaches, living in chronic pain, find it difficult to fall / remain asleep, or have poor immune function.
A dysregulated nervous system can also affect you mentally. Are you someone who excessively worries, has racing thoughts, is unable to relax, suffers from short term memory loss, or is easily irritated?
If any of these symptoms sound familiar then it’s time for a nervous system reset.
At Internal Harmony Yoga our focus is on using traditional Chinese medicine, chakra balancing, and therapeutic yoga practices such as restorative, yin, and slow flow to help regulate the body’s nervous system.
Stop normalizing disharmony. The slower styles of yoga taught at this studio are intended to help reconnect you with your body. With that reconnection you can begin to listen to your body’s warning signs and shift unhealthy patterns. Living with anxiety, chronic pain, and sickness has been normalized… it is not normal.
Akalai’s 9 day challenge was the perfect compliment to my healing work I was doing at the time. The way he combined myofascial release techniques with yoga targeted areas in my body where I was holding stress and trauma. The releases I felt helped to clear energetic blockages, leaving my body feeling more balanced throughout the day.

All of our classes offer therapeutic yoga for nervous system regulation.
YIN YOGA
Yin is a style of yoga that helps improve range of motion, while at the same time strengthening, restoring, and rehydrating the body’s connective tissue
RESTORATIVE YOGA
Restorative yoga is a slow and very gentle practice. For those feeling exhausted, tired, and fatigued these classes will help to replenish your energy body.
VINYASA YIN
This fun fusion class begins with a slower paced vinyasa flow, and then shifts half way through to a more restorative yin yoga practice.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Myofascial release focuses on rehydrating the body’s connective tissue. This helps increase range of motion, aids in ease of movement, and reduces muscle fatigue and soreness.
SLOW FLOW
Move with purpose. These slower paced classes will focus on simple asana designed to mobilize the body and help release any stuck energy existing in your meridian channels.
YIN YANG
This class begins with gentle yin postures and myofascial release techniques, before shifting into a slower paced vinyasa flow practice.
Akalai was truly phenomenal!! The embodiment of pure intentions and a genuinely kind heart. I feel incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him when he visited our school. He dedicated five full hours to teaching us, and he did so with such ease, passion, and attentiveness that he kept us fully engaged the entire time.
His presentation was not only thorough but deeply meaningful. We walked away with valuable knowledge that we can apply to our own lives and share with those around us. The impact of his words and wisdom will stay with us far beyond the classroom. I sincerely look forward to the next opportunity to learn from Akalai again. He is truly a blessing to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Gratitude 🙏
